Call for Art
Creatively activating artists and activists for a cause
In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to roll back federally-protected reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, we find ourselves in the position of having to fight for equality on yet another front. Abortion is healthcare, and bodily autonomy is a human right.
We developed four new Shades of Equality - the Reproductive Rights color palette - to raise awareness and generate another means of creative engagement around bodily autonomy and healthcare. In the words of one of our favorite artists, eL Seed, "Art is the shortest path from one human being to another human being.” We want to see artists and creators use the Reproductive Rights shades - and the corresponding phrase created by the color titles - as a rallying cry.
Consider this our call to you: let’s advance Autonomy and Global Access for Lifesaving Healthcare together, using all the creative skills we can bring to bear. Whether you’re an artist, designer, activist, creative thinker, or simply someone who wants to mobilize others and stand for reproductive rights, bodily autonomy, and access to lifesaving healthcare - we hope you’ll consider this a call to create, inspire, and act.
We’re looking for poster submissions that incorporate the four Reproductive Rights Shades of Equality and the phrase “Autonomy and Global Access for Lifesaving Healthcare.” We would love to amplify your vision and voice through this call. Selected posters will be printed, with all proceeds benefitting organizations working to provide lifesaving healthcare.
